21 No. Mitsubishi Electric ceiling ducted and cassette fan coils
3 No. HBC Boxes
2 No. External VRF Heat Recovery Condensing Units
PROJECT VALUE: £110,000.00 | CLIENT: TAYLOR & FRASER / TERUMO
Proair Conditioning were engaged by the M and E Contractor on this project to supply and install 2 No. Mitsubishi Electric Hybrid VRF Systems. The existing Building was being refurbished for change of use with the areas concerned being re-constructed for Office use, therefore the main requirement was to provide a temperature-controlled environment for the staff working within. The client’s brief was to provide a system which not only met with their cooling and heating requirements but also utilised as little refrigerant as possible to reduce their Carbon footprint whilst still meeting the budget objectives of the project. The solution was found by installing Mitsubishi Electric Hybrid VRF Systems.
City Multi HVRF outdoor units deliver optimum comfort and efficiency using an innovative combination of unique 2-pipe refrigeration and water. It provides a complete modern solution for offices and other commercial buildings
Using water-based fan coils, the HVRF Indoor Units installed included ducted and cassette type. They are based on Mitsubishi Electric VRF indoor units.
At the heart of the HVRF system is the HBC (Hybrid Branch Controller) box, which is connected to the outdoor unit via traditional refrigerant piping. Between the HBC box and the indoor fan coils, the system uses water piping but still offers high sensible cooling and stable room temperatures for maximum comfort.
The Air Conditioning works included the supply & installation of 21 No. Mitsubishi Electric ceiling ducted and cassette fan coils, 3 No. HBC Boxes and 2 No. External VRF Heat Recovery Condensing Units along with individual remote controllers within non-Open plan areas as required. Additionally, we installed an AE200E Centralised Touch Screen Controller which was configured into the existing BMS, this provides overall control, overview and management of all new systems installed. The project included all water and refrigerant pipe work, condensate and containment allowing the new installed systems to provide simultaneous heating and cooling to the required areas.
To ensure that noise levels externally were kept to a minimum protecting neighbouring properties, the 2 No. external VRF Heat Pump Condensing units were provided with Acoustic enclosures.
As well as the Office space Cooling and Heating Systems, 2 No. single Mitsubishi Electric DX split systems were installed to additional areas out with the newly created office space.
Ventilation GSS Ductwork installation throughout the designated office areas was also supplied and installed as part of the project connecting to the new AHU installed by the M and E Contractor
Proair engineers fully commissioned each system to ensure optimum system performance providing much improved conditions for all staff within the office spaces of this building.
